Eternal Duel — Bonus Features

Reels that duel for a multiplier, scatters that duel for the number of free spins, and upgrades that quietly promote you up the ladder. Here's what each layer of Eternal Duel actually does, taken from Hacksaw Gaming's own game page.

How Each Feature Works

Triggers, mechanics and what each round actually guarantees — and where Hacksaw Gaming publishes nothing, this page says so rather than filling the gap.

DuelReels

How to Trigger

A VS symbol lands and would be part of a win once expanded.

What Happens

A VS symbol expands only when it would be part of a winning combination once expanded. The expanded DuelReel covers the full reel and starts the duel. Two duelists, one multiplier each, and the winner's figure is applied across the entire reel.

Multipliers

Each of the two duelists carries one multiplier. Hacksaw does not publish the range or how it is weighted, so any specific ceiling you see quoted elsewhere is somebody's estimate rather than a published figure.

Variants

The FS version of this mechanic duels free-spin values instead of multipliers — see below.

Strategy

Nothing you press changes a duel. Bet size and how long you stay are the only levers you actually hold on this game.

FS DuelReels & Bonus Upgrades

How to Trigger

3 or more FS symbols land on the grid.

What Happens

Three or more FS symbols expand into FS DuelReels. Each holds two free-spin values that fight; the winner of each is added to the rest to determine the total free spins. Bonus Upgrades then promote you up the tier ladder.

Multipliers

No multiplier here — what duels is the number of free spins you walk away with.

Variants

3 FS DuelReels + 1 Upgrade = Zeus Fury. 3 + 2 Upgrades = Eternal Destruction. 4 + 1 Upgrade = Eternal Destruction.

Strategy

This is why scatter count alone does not tell you which round you are getting. Watch the Upgrades as closely as the scatters.

Hades Havoc

How to Trigger

Land 3 FS scatter symbols.

What Happens

Three FS scatters trigger the round. You get at least 6 free spins, with a top and a bottom progressive Reel Multiplier in play for the duration.

Multipliers

Two progressive Reel Multipliers, top and bottom. Hacksaw does not publish their step values or a ceiling.

Variants

A Bonus Upgrade landing alongside the FS DuelReels promotes this round into Zeus Fury before it starts.

Strategy

The multiplier climbing is the whole point. A round that opens cold is not a lost round — the back half is where the progression pays for itself.

Zeus Fury

How to Trigger

Land 4 FS scatter symbols, or 3 FS DuelReels plus one Upgrade.

What Happens

Four FS scatters, or three FS DuelReels with one Upgrade, open the round. At least 8 free spins, during which Wild symbols get their multipliers from the Reel Multipliers.

Multipliers

Wild multipliers are drawn from the Reel Multipliers rather than assigned independently. No published values.

Variants

A second Upgrade promotes the trigger straight to Eternal Destruction.

Strategy

Because the Wilds inherit from the reel multipliers, a Wild landing late in the round is worth far more than the same Wild on spin one.

Eternal Destruction (Hidden Epic Bonus)

How to Trigger

Land 5 FS scatter symbols, 3 FS DuelReels plus two Upgrades, or 4 plus one.

What Happens

Five FS scatters — or the upgrade routes — open the round. At least 10 free spins, and every spin guarantees at least 1 Wild, 1 Relic or Cyclops symbol and 1 DuelReel.

Multipliers

The guarantees are on symbols, not on multiplier values. Hacksaw publishes no figures for the round.

Variants

Three routes in: five scatters, three FS DuelReels with two Upgrades, or four with one.

Strategy

This is the round the 15,000x ceiling lives in. It is also the one you will see least often — treat reaching it as the outcome rather than the plan.

Where the multipliers come from

A VS symbol expands only when it would be part of a win once expanded. When it does, it covers the entire reel and starts a duel between two duelists. Each DuelReel assigns one multiplier to each duelist, and the winner's multiplier is applied across that whole reel. Hacksaw Gaming publishes the mechanic but not the numbers — no multiplier range, no weighting, no trigger rate — so treat any precise figure you find quoted elsewhere as someone's estimate.

How long your bonus runs

The scatters duel too. Three or more FS symbols expand into FS DuelReels, and each one carries two free-spin values that fight each other. The winning value from every FS DuelReel is added together, and that total is the length of your bonus. Bonus Upgrades change which round you enter: three FS DuelReels plus one Upgrade gives Zeus Fury, three plus two Upgrades gives Eternal Destruction, and four plus one Upgrade does the same. Scatter count alone doesn't tell you where you're going.

Buy Feature Options

Where your casino offers a buy, it shows the price in the buy menu — Hacksaw Gaming does not publish buy prices or buy-mode RTP on its game page, so anything you read elsewhere is a guess. What is worth knowing is the general rule: buying a bonus removes the wait, not the house edge. And in the UK, bonus buys are banned outright, so the button won't be there at all.
